If you follow my blog you know that we recently completed a historic remodel in Seminole Park, Fort Myers. The job turned out great and we have jumped into our next historic renovation project known as "Gasparilla". Located in one of the finest neighborhoods in old Ft. Myers it is a great house with great bones. Can't wait to get started on it.
FRONT ELEVATION BEFORE RENOVATION
The house was first on the tax roll in 1925 so it must have been constructed around that time. It currently has 4 bedrooms 2.5 baths, and is 3994 SF of living area. The property also contains a free standing guest house. The house has been unoccupied for quite sometime and allowed to fall into a bad state of disrepair. In addition, the layout of the home was desired in days gone by but will not be suitable for todays active families. As with all of our historic renovations we seek to "wipe the slate clean" and design the build back so that the home will suit todays families but keep it's old time charm.

From the photos you can see what a challenge this renovation will be, the guest house has also been unoccupied for quite sometime and we are currently evaluating how it will fit into the overall layout of the project.
THE BACKYARD AND REAR OF HOUSE
The home is situated on a huge lot with an easement behind, no close neighbors to the rear. It is our plan to incorporate a breezeway, outdoor kitchen, pool/spa and large outside deck and recreation area that will really make this house a home. Stay tuned for more as we progress through the project. Once our final building plans are complete we will be ready to go to permitting and get underway.
